30-Year-Old Suspect to Appear in Court for Murder in VIANEEN VILLAGE, LEPHALALE




 LEPHALALE :A 30-year-old male suspect is scheduled to appear before the Phalala Magistrates Court following a tragic murder that took place in Vianeen village on 09 February 2025 at approximately 22:46.

 

Preliminary investigations by the police indicate that the victim, who had been at a local tavern, was followed by an unknown man. An intense argument escalated between the two, resulting in the victim suffering severe stab wounds to his forehead and arm.

 

Emergency services transported the victim to Nkidikitlana clinic, where he was sadly pronounced dead.

 

Through thorough investigative work, authorities apprehended the suspect, who has been identified as the deceased's cousin. Initially charged with assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, the charges have since been upgraded to murder.

 

The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as the case unfolds.
