Five Illegal Immigrants Sentenced to Imprisonment and Deportation in Lephalale‼️

On February 10, 2025, five male illegal immigrants from Mozambique and Zimbabwe faced the Lephalale Magistrate Court, where they were charged with violating South Africa's immigration laws. The court sentenced each individual to three


months of imprisonment, along with a subsequent deportation order.

 

This operation underscores the South African government’s continued efforts to enforce immigration laws and maintain border security. Authorities have been vigilant in addressing illegal immigration, recognizing the legal and social challenges it can pose.

 

The offenders were apprehended during routine checks and are part of ongoing initiatives aimed at curbing the influx of individuals entering the country without proper documentation.
