POLOKWANE:The South African Police Service in Mokopane, under the Waterberg District, is appealing to the community for assistance in apprehending the unknown suspects involved in a murder that occurred on Thursday, 27 March 2025. At approximately 19:50, police responded to a murder complaint at Nyl Park on Kudu Street. Upon arrival, they found Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel at the scene, who presented the lifeless body of a male victim exhibiting severe injuries, covered with a sheet. The motive behind this violent incident remains unclear as investigations are ongoing. A bystander reported that members of the community allegedly assaulted the victim, suspecting him of attempting to break into a residence, before fleeing the scene. The decision comes after a long journey for justice, following the severe crimes committed by the accused.   The first incident occurred on 28 August 2016, when a 23-year-old woman was at a local tavern with friends. Ndlovu approached her, dragging her to an abandoned house where he threatened her with a knife and raped her. Thankfully, her friend arrived in time to help, prompting Ndlovu to flee the scene.    Following the brutal attack, law enforcement traced Ndlovu, resulting in his arrest in April 2023.   This is a message from Mr. Quentin regarding safety concerns at Mabula Mountain.     Early this morning, around 00:11, we received a distress call about three individuals who fell at nearly the same location as a previous incident involving another person. I, along with one other volunteer, rushed to the scene.   Upon arrival, we found one individual with injuries at the top of the mountain. He informed us that three of them had fallen. We ensured he was taken to the hospital by a SAPS member.   At approximately 00:45, we proceeded further down the mountain and discovered another man with serious injuries to his head and leg. While treating him, we heard someone shouting for help further down. We dispatched one volunteer to locate the third individual, who was found with minor injuries and was able to climb back up with assistance.   EMS and SAPS arrived shortly after and took over first aid. Male Suspect Arrested for Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Ammunition in Polokwane

*Polokwane, 08 March 2025* – In a significant operation, a 41-year-old male suspect was apprehended in the early hours of Friday, 07 March 2025, at Masoma village, situated in the Maake policing area of the Mopani District. The arrest resulted from a tip-off regarding the possession of a firearm by the suspect. Members of the Provincial Tracking Team acted on the intelligence received and coordinated with the Mopani Tracking Team, Mopani Highway Patrol, and Tzaneen TRT. Together, they identified the suspect's address and executed a tactical approach to search the premises. During the search, police discovered a firearm along with five live ammunition rounds in the suspect’s possession. The individual was unable to provide a lawful explanation for having these items.    Saturday, 08 March 2025 POLOKWANE: The South African Police Service in Limpopo has launched an extensive search for male suspects involved in a series of offenses at a filling station in Bolobedu South under the Mopani District. The incident occurred on Friday, 07 March 2025, at approximately 04:00. According to reports, police were alerted to an ATM bombing at a local filling station. Upon arrival, they were informed by a Security Guard that an estimated group of eight male suspects had targeted the automated teller machine (ATM) situated between the shops outside the filling station, close to a taxi rank. During the commission of the crime, two unsuspecting minibus operators, aged 29 and 41, arrived to begin their day.
