(Alleged Suspect) (Alleged Victim) The police in Tinmyne under Waterberg District were alerted to this gruesome discovery of a lifeless body of female victim,  which was in an advanced state of decomposition, wrapped with a plastic bag under the bridge on Sunday 23 March 2025 at about 13:10 .  Responding to the gruesome scen, the police conducted an intelligence driven operation led by SAPS Mahwelereng detectives and Tinmyn. The operation yielded positive results and a suspect was identified and subsequently  arrested at Mookgophong on Saturday, 12 April 2025. A year after the tragic murder of Roman Catholic Priest, William Banda, the Limpopo Police are still searching for the suspect responsible. On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, the 38-year-old priest was fatally shot twice in the head by an unknown assailant inside the Roman Catholic Church in Aquer Park, Tzaneen ¹. The suspect, described as wearing a black trouser, brown shirt, and waistcoat, with a clean black cut and small goatee beard, fled the scene in an unidentified motor vehicle. The police have released an identikit of the suspect and are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding his whereabouts.  Three rhino poachers, Kholwani Mwembe, Emmanuel Marombedze, and Stephen Tshoeu, have been handed lengthy prison sentences by the Mahwelereng Regional Court. After pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit rhino poaching, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition, the court sentenced them to 5 years' imprisonment or a fine of R5,000 for the conspiracy charge, 4 years' imprisonment or a fine of R4,000 for the firearm charge, and 2 years' imprisonment or a fine of R2,000 for the ammunition charge.  The sentences will run concurrently.
